The Fellowship
The Fellowship Meeting was founded many years ago, well before the 1960's. The fortnightly Thursday afternoon meeting was for the ladies of the church. Over the years it has kept to the same format, varied speakers being booked to come along and speak of their experiences, occupations etc. the meeting takes the form of a hymn and a prayer, introduction of the speaker, for his/her talk, questions and answers, then a cup of tea/biscuit.
There was a time when numbers fell but when a new leader took over the meeting was opened up to the menfolk and many newly retired couples joined and swelled the ranks. Membership now stands around 50/55. Twice a year we have a luncheon and always a summer outing. The dates for our meetings are governed by the date of Maundy Thursday which is always a totally devotional meeting. New members always welcome.
